About

It's late. You're up studying for a big exam and…you’re hungry. Nothing’s open at this time so you turn to your typical late night options: Burgers. Pizza. Chinese.  We’ve all been there!  Here at TERPS EAT WELL we know the stresses of being a student, and how our nutrition often gets put on the back burner when it comes to homework, papers, quizzes, projects, exams-and everything else! We want to make eating healthy a little easier, so we are here to serve as your official guide to healthy food: where to get it and how to make it, simply.

The Facts...

The U.S. Department of Agriculture suggests adults should consume at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. According to 2011 data from the NCHA, approximately 60% of college students reported eating 1-2 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, while only about 5% report eating the recommended amount of 5 servings. This means that college students are only consuming a fifth of the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables!
